Not Routinely Funded
This procedure is usually performed for aesthetic reasons and is not routinely commissioned or funded by the Norfolk and Waveney Integrated Care Board (ICB).
These procedures have been assessed as a low clinical priority by the Norfolk and Waveney ICB and will not be funded unless there are exceptional circumstances
Note: for all patients undergoing bariatric surgery, as part of their informed consent they must be advised that the Norfolk and Waveney ICB will not fund post-operative cosmetic procedures and arising from the weight loss.
Cases for Individual Consideration
On a case to case basis, patients might be eligible for surgical intervention, in consideration of their exceptionality. The requesting clinician must provide information to support the case for being considered an exception, by submitting an individual funding request.
